It is with sincere regret that we sadly acknowledge the passing of Lorraine Tapp. Lorraine was the wife of ex Chief Fire Officer and Senior Firefighter Alan Tapp. Also mum to Grant and the late Nathan Tapp. We thank you for your dedication to our brigade over the years. Rest in Peace Lorraine.

We're all volunteers working for our community, and we really appreciate it when the community supports us in return. So a huge shout-out to Wenita Forestry Products, who have donated our brigade $2,000 to go toward our next honours function. These "Gold Star " events don't happen all that often because we don't always have a member celebrating 25 years of service.
So they're a big deal for our members and supporters too.
We really appreciate Wenita's generosity to us and other local brigades.

Yesterday Milton hosted the 2026 Otago Southland Road Crash Rescue competition.

Five brigades from across Otago and Southland competed with a guest team from Whitianga coming down from the North Island as a guest sixth team.

Official results will be published by Otago Southland Provincial Fire Brigades Association

A massive thanks to all the volunteers who donated their time, people that donated cars, machinery and equipment to make it all happen. You made this all possible!
