Kia ora everyone,

Hands up who’s missing our beautiful hot pools?

We are just checking in to say, hello and let you know while we don’t have much news right now, we do want to update you as much as we can.

Right now, our maunga and the surrounding area, including the Mount Hot Pools are still closed. Works are ongoing by geo-tech experts to assess the risk of future landslides and while that’s happening, our crew is also busy behind the scenes, assessing our venue and site to get a clear picture of the damage and understand what we do next.

We’re just as keen as you are to see the Mount Hot Pools back open again – if and when it is safe to do so. The safety of our staff and customers, workers, and our community is the priority. Our thoughts are still with those families affected by the landslides just a few short months ago.

We cannot thank you enough for your ongoing support, and as always, we will be in touch as soon as we can with any updates.

Kia ora everyone, we want to thank you for all your support so far, we’ve read every message and appreciate your care and patience. It's clear the Mount Hot Pools holds a special place in our community. We know everyone is eager for updates and we want to assure you we will share information with you as soon as we can.

In the meantime, if you’re missing your regular activities or familiar faces, you can find them across Baywave and our community pools. Aquafit, Golden Hour, lap swimming and spas are all available – you can find timetables and lane availability here, www.taurangapools.co.nz.

Our Mount Hot Pools team are also working across these pools so, you might see a familiar face or two. Plus, you can still book with your favourite Mount Hot Pools massage therapists, who are currently working out of Baywave.

Thank you again for your heartfelt support, as we start to plan for the future, our thoughts stay with the families affected by the landslides across our region. We will update you as soon as possible.❤️

It has been an incredibly challenging and heartbreaking few days, and we know the impact of Thursday’s landslide will be felt for a long time. We are part of this community, and we share in its deep sadness. First and foremost, our thoughts are with the families who have been directly affected.

We want to express our sincere thanks to the emergency workers, council teams, our own staff, and everyone who has supported those affected. We have been humbled by the outpouring of aroha from whānau, friends, our sector partners, and the many organisations we work alongside.

He Maimai Aroha is now open at 249 Maunganui Road from 9am–9pm. Implemented by Tauranga City Council, Tangata Whenua and Mount Mainstreet, this space provides a quiet, respectful area for reflection, messages of aroha, and community support. Kia ora everyone, a quick update about the landslide incident in Mount Maunganui this morning.

The Mount Hot Pools has been evacuated and is closed. We ask that the community please stay away from the area.

This landslide incident is an evolving situation. We are working with Tauranga City Council and emergency services to gather more information and provide support.

Our thoughts are with everyone who has been affected by this event and their loved ones.
