The Provincial Hotel is located on the corner of Emerson Street and Clive Square. This gives a nice westerly aspect providing afternoon sun and views across the gardens. Originally established in 1876, the Provincial Hotel was rebuilt in 1932 after the disasterous Napier Earthquake, and is a fine example of the Spanish Mission style. This lovely building now accommodates Hawke’s Bay’s only Whiskey

Bar. Taste, sip and savour a dram of Whiskey, Cognac, a glass of Hawke’s Bay wine or a refreshing juice. Enquire about a Whiskey tasting or Argentine Tango and Salsa dance classes.
