Happy Thursday everyone! A little pic of our cute busy bee who has been at the library longer than all of us 🐝

We have been having fun at the library lately. Enjoying our regular members, welcoming new members, having chats with our volunteers, collaborating with other beautiful charities & attending the baby expo! πŸ› πŸš‚πŸ¦„

We had so much fun bringing new toys to live at the library over the last few months and seeing them going to different homes has reminded us why we love what we do!

Setting the tone for sharing toys in our community is such a awesome job and you are all doing your bit too 🌊🌍🌿

Seeing our Yard games Yard Games Taranaki enjoyed as well has been really great, thank you good weather β˜€οΈ

This weekend, we all enjoy a longer weekend. Yet we want to be open this Saturday 9am-1pm (Cos it’s fun) 🀩

So if you have never visited the Toy Library, come down this Saturday, have a look at our toys. Even start Xmas shopping & get someone a voucher for membership πŸ’

A little look at two of our challenge toys for school age children.
The first one is, Gravity maze by ThinkFun This lovely tactile game has 60 cards of ideas, which you can do with your children and then they can try themselves.
The second one is a cute game, Cats in boxes by SmartGames Again it has ideas in a booklet for you to start easy and then challenge your child to keep going to more difficult levels.
Both these toys offer your child to practice their cognitive skills, test their concentration and problem solve.
Have a look at our STEM/games section next time your visiting our library 🧐

Tunnels! We love them & so do you, so we got a couple more. This one is from HART Sport New Zealand. It’s so strong and has these super cute peek-a-boo windows 🫣

Tunnels are great fun, out on the lawn or inside for crawling, practicing balance and hide and seek games. They can be helpful for an active sensory regulation tool as well 🧑

Great for adding to an homemade obstacle courses for the busy toddler πŸ˜†

We are open tomorrow 9am-1pm & 6.30pm-8.30pm. We have space for more families, so come along and have a look at what we have available β€οΈπŸ’œπŸ’š
