Kia ora kura kaukau whānau 👋🏽
(Sorry for the long post today)

Re-booking for Term 4 2026 is now open!
Please follow the link in your email or in our story to access the re-booking form and send in your response.

Important info:

This re-booking window is open until Saturday 5th September – after this date bookings are open to new public enrolments.
All Term 4 booking invoices paid in full by Saturday 5th September will go in the draw to win back a term of free swimming! Get in quick to secure your spot for Term 4 now!

Please note and also previously communicated to Saturday swimmers that we are no longer running Saturday classes from Term 4 onwards.

After a period of reflection and many tough conversations lately sadly we have made the decision to no longer offer Saturday classes from Term 4 onwards.

Please know that we haven't taken this decision lightly and wish we could still run our Saturday classes but we’ve found it increasingly difficult on our own whānau. We have run Saturday classes for our swimming community for the last 11 years but we feel we need to spend more time with our own children as they grow older.

We hope everyone can understand this difficult decision for us and know this has come about from needing to spend more precious time with our children.

Ngā mihi,
Brendon, Vaughan and our Tamariki ❤️

Kia ora e te whānau 👋🏽
We hope you are all keeping safe with the wild wind we have had out there.

We have been a bit quiet on our socials lately mō taku hē. We have been focusing on our mahi in the pool and our own whānau ❤️

This is also a great time to introduce Lexi who some of you have already met on Monday and Friday afternoons 🏊‍♂️ Lexi has joined our team to help us out since her big sis Jayde moved away to be with her partner 🥰 we are very grateful to have her here so please make her feel welcome 👍🏽

There is also an email that has been sent out to all our Saturday clients before rebooking opens at the end of the week and we hope it has been recieved well 🤞🏽
If we have missed anyone or still have an old email address please send us an email today and Brendon or Nicole will be in touch 👍🏽

Ngā mihi,
Brendon and Vaughan

Also just want to apologise to our Monday swimmers for the pool not being up to temp 🫣 we had 1 day too long away I think 🤔
Mō taku hē we have had a hectic start with Kiwa boy off to kura now that he is 5 🥲 but we will have the heater running non stop today and have it back to normal temp tonight for āpōpō we promise ❤️

Ata mārie e te whānau 👋🏽
Just wanted to give a big mihi to all who have dealt with sickness and kept tamariki home from swimming and thank those who have been understanding when our staff are off māuiui ❤️
We also want to thank Alex for all her mahi her last day was yesterday and some how this snuck up waay too fast on me and I wasn't prepared to say goodbye 😭

Here are some words from Alex and a lil update ❤️

"After so many wonderful memories in the pool, yesterday was my last day teaching at the swim school as I am making the move to Tauranga for a new chapter!

To all of our amazing swim school whānau, thank you for trusting me with your little ones, for all the laughs, the milestones, and the smiles along the way. It has been such a privilege to be part of your swimming journeys, and I will miss you all! ❤️ I wish you all the best for 2026!"

Please drop a comment and help us wish Alex all the best 👍🏽

Kia ora e te whānau 👋🏽

We hope you have enjoyed the long weekend so far❤️
Tomorrow is a day off for the 🤴 Kings Birthday so we will open back up for swimming on Tuesday 🏊‍♂️

We also just wanted to post to remind everyone that this week is the last week for Re-booking our current clients and then we crack into teacher changes and client requests for the weekend from 1pm Saturday 6th June. So get those bookings done and if you need to put a request in do so immediately please 😊
Brendon does most of the admin around this and works very hard to try accommodate everyone but with 600 students a week its a bit of a tricky jigsaw puzzle at times 🫣
Matua Erin popped in to visit and we have good news e te whānau 🤩 Term 3 he will be back 🎉 it will only be part time to ease back in with our school age tamariki first and then slowly we will work on easing in the shallow pre-school classes when he is upto it 👍🏽
Ngā mihi,
Brendon, Vaughan and the awesome team 😎

Kia ora e te whānau 👋🏽

We just wanted to say ngā mihi to everyone for being so understanding when your tamariki have had a cover teacher just while we have had some staff off with sickness.
This weekend our whānau will also be away so we just want to thank the whānau who are affected by any class/teacher changes.
On Saturday our super kaiako Gemma and Lea will have all classes running smoothly so big thanks to them too 🥰

We will be away as Brendon will be running The Hawke's Bay Marathon 🏃 on Saturday so putting in different kind of mahi for the weekend and Maia will do the tamariki run too 🏃‍♀️
Kiwa and I will be their hype peeps 🔥🤣
Please help us to wish them all the best 🤞🏽

Kia ora e te whānau 👋🏽
We hope you all had a lovely weekend celebrating significant wāhine you have in your lives 🥰

Speaking of significant wāhine 😊we want to introduce our newest team member Nicole ❤️ here are her own words about joining our kura kaukau whānau 🏊‍♀️

I’ve recently joined NPSOS on the front desk, working Monday to Wednesday mornings, supporting Brendon and Vaughan while Katelyn is on leave with her new pēpi.
I’m a mum to three beautiful girls, Kylee (5), Mackenzie (almost 4), and Bindi (2), who definitely keep life busy! After two years away from work raising them, I felt ready to do something for myself again, and I’m really enjoying being back in a work environment.
My background is in sales, so I love working with people and keeping things running smoothly at the front.

Ngā mihi Nicole for adding your skills to our team and for your tautoko ❤️ please feel free to drop a welcoming comment below or introduce yourselves if you see her in the tari 👍🏽
