We were recently shared these pieces of Frankley School history taken from the November 1969 photo news. These show the opening of Frankley School in its current location. Pretty cool to have these memories.

Kia ora e te whānau,

Mrs Sarah Morris, our wonderful Tumuaki (Principal) of 8 years, is leaving Frankley School to take on new adventures. We will be celebrating her with a traditional Frankley Poroaki (farewell).

We would love to see lots of our Frankley whānau there (past and present). If you would like to attend, please let Whaea Anna know at [email protected] to help with catering numbers.

Kia ora e te whānau,

Just a quick reminder that Frankley School will be closed next Monday 17 August for our Teacher Only Day.

Our teaching staff are looking forward to a productive day working alongside a facilitator to dive deeper into the refreshed Mathematics and Statistics Curriculum.

We are so grateful for your ongoing support as our teachers work hard to grow their practice and provide the absolute best learning opportunities for our tamariki.

Ngā manaakitanga,

Sarah

Te Puāwai would love to share their learning about Matariki and Puanga. Using beautiful picture books to inspire their work over many weeks they are very proud of how it all came together. Matariki is a time for whānau, kai, remembering and aspirations. Our wishes focused on things that would make us feel good rather than 'stuff' to buy.
From all of Frankley School, have a fabulous two weeks with whānau and friends and we will see you after the holidays.

What a beautiful day today! Abby had the tunes playing and we had a dancing, skipping party at lunchtime with the highlight for many being the giant Conga line at the finale. What a great day! The children are looking forward to sharing their skipping skills on Wednesday at 2.40pm. See you then. Bring a rope if you'd like to join in.

No skipping showcase today as it is too cold and too windy to be enjoyable. We have postponed until the next sunny afternoon.
