Last week, some of our awesome Room 13 artists collaborated on a project for the Cancer Society, working together to make a mural that was a combination of their ideas. Please help us by voting for them, and liking their picture on the original post. They put a lot of effort into it all by themselves and it would be wonderful for them to win! 🤞🙏

Last week, the school was lucky enough to be visited again by Circus Challenge. The students were treated to an amazing show of trickery and afterwards, took part in some workshops where they got to try some of the tricks from the show 🤹‍♂️🎪🙌

Beauty and the Beast - The Musical, is happening at Spotswood College for the next couple of weeks, beginning this Wednesday! Some of our senior students are lucky enough to be attending the first full dress rehearsal tomorrow and we cant wait! Come and support our local College, where a lot of Westowners eventually attend. There ex-Westowners in the show, Mr Guthries daughter is one of the leads, and Mrs Hughes has been generously donating her time and expertise to help with the costuming. Tickets are available on Trybooking.com. The performances are from the 19th to the 22nd and the 26th and the 29th of August at 7 pm ( Aside from the additional matinées on Saturday at 1 pm) Prices are $17 for students and $27 for adults. Doors will open 30 minutes prior, at the Spotswood College Hall. Make sure to buy your tickets sooner rather than later, you will regret not buying them sooner! Clink the link below!

Last Friday we had a special Wheels Day to help fundraise for Conductive Education and support them in the amazing work they do. We had a variety of wheels turn up and zoom around throughout the day, as well as a sausage sizzle for the fundraising. $352 dollars was donated to Conductive Education Taranaki Trust, and presented to them by two of our leaders, Faamai and Priscilla. Thank you Conductive Education for being a huge benefit to our community, with all that you do! ❤🙌

Yesterday we took the day to show our appreciation for our amazing duo who keep our school afloat by combining both their strengths into a formidable combination of expertise, experience and empathy. Our Principal/Tumuaki, Kim Theyers, and our Deputy Principal/Tumuaki Tuarua, Tracey Ogle. From all our students, staff and the whole school community - thank you both for everything you do for the benefit of everyone ❤
