Ngatapa School

Ngatapa School Proud to be Learning for Life! Our People
We are proud to be a full primary. Ngatapa students range from Years 0 to 8. Cheryl Johnston
Principal

We are blessed with a wonderfully supportive Board of Trustees and community. As principal I practice an open door policy. I encourage parents and the community to participate in the education of their children through regular school contact. Our Place
Ngatapa School is a small rural school nestled amongst the rolling hills on the outskirts of Gisborne. The local hall is located on school grounds

and is regularly used by the school, playgroup, and community, as well as other groups and organisations on occasion. Our school is equipped with an array of fantastic resources to aid teaching and learning right across the curriculum. Our digital age learners have access to tools that prepare them for their futures
not ours. Our enthusiastic, energetic, and innovative teaching staff have created an environment where stimulating and innovative teaching and learning programmes are aimed at addressing the learning
needs of each child. We provide a caring environment that encourages personal excellence and a feeling of success. We take great efforts to ensure that positive virtues are taught, encouraged and exhibited throughout the school. I thank you for considering Ngatapa School and welcome your queries or questions, and look forward to meeting you soon.

Help Us Shape the Future of Our PlaySpace!
We want to hear from you.
Our current playground has served us well, but it’s time to look toward the
future. We are planning to replace the existing structure with a brand-new playground that reflects the heart of our community.
