If you’ve received an email from Beamafilm, we can confirm that our partnership with the service is ending. We are so sorry for the sudden interruption to your watchlist! 🍿 We know how much our community enjoys these services, and we sincerely apologise for the interruption to your watchlist. Kia ora library whānau! We wanted to let you know that from 1 July, Beamafilm will no longer be available as a free library service.

We know some of you have really enjoyed it, and we're sorry to see it go. Unfortunately, a significant price increase paired with minimal usage meant that we had to make the difficult decision to end our subscription. You've still got a few weeks of free access, so be sure to make the most of it before July!

The good news? There's still plenty to enjoy at your library. Books, DVDs, board games, and Toiboxes are all available to borrow and take home. We also still offer Kanopy as a free streaming platform, and watch this space for an exciting new e-resource we will be launching soon!

Get your hands in the clay and craft a piece that’s uniquely yours. We’ll guide you through each step, and you’ll head home with new skills and a beautiful uku creation to show for it.

We unboxed a great selection of new books this week - gardening, classic cars, intergenerational trauma, puppy training, jokes for kids, baby books, living in a housetruck, NZ missing persons, and a whole stack of new stories and novels for adults and kids. And did you know we have things like sewing machines, ukuleles, binoculars, VR headsets and more you can borrow? Everyone is welcome and it's free - so what are you waiting for?
