Today marks the end of our season! Totara will hunker down for the winter months of June, July & August and reopen with the spring in September 💐🌷. Thank you all for supporting our site and events over these last few months, we are so lucky to have such a wonderful community of locals and visitors alike 🐑.

It's a beautiful day out at Totara today, even as our garden starts to move into winter mode! 🍁🍂

Please note, this Friday the 22nd of May we will be closing early (2pm) to celebrate all the hard work and dedication of the Totara and Clarks Mill volunteers/staff this season. We will be open our normal hours, 10-4pm, for the weekend!

Alison's giant pumpkins are bedding down as it starts to get colder out here at Totara! We are open for two more weeks before we close over the winter, our last day being the 29th of May. Come and see us before then for a hot drink and a scone! ☕🎃❄️

We are closed at Totara Estate tomorrow while our wonderful staff and volunteers attend Anzac Day services across Waitaki. We'll be back on Sunday morning from 10am, with Annie's delicious Anzac Cake on the menu in our Cookhouse Cafe 🍰

Happy Easter Ōamaru! We're closed tomorrow for Good Friday, reopening on Saturday from 10am. We will be open 10am - 4pm for the rest of the weekend, including Easter Monday.

We have a special Autumn Apple Cake on the menu this weekend, featuring apples picked from our very own heritage Peasgood Nonsuch tree 🍎🍰

Our friends down the road at Clarks Mill are running a special operating tour this Sunday. Guided tours from 1pm before the machinery is started at 2pm. It's your second-to-last chance to catch the mill running before they close for the season! Last operating tour is on Sunday 26 April.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Learned Lecture yesterday! We always love having Jonathan Howard as a guest speaker and the topic of Seacliff Asylum is a particularly interesting one, proven by the large crowd who came along! Keep an eye out here and on our website for the next lecture, coming on Sunday 12 April

If you've visited us before, you'll know how impressive Alison's vegetable garden is. Now we have the prize to prove it! Our produce came first in this year's North Otago A&P show, also winning Best Exhibit overall. We also got first place for our herbs, and Annie's famous scones took first place too! 🥇🏆
