Today was filming day! We started off by heading out to the wetland to do some water testing. It was a stunning minus 3 Central Otago morning. We continued back at school with some interviews and gathered extra footage. Zanaeyah, Jesse and Isabelle did a great job!

We had a visit from some Bumblebees today. Thank you to Jennie and Arron from Ōtākou Enviroschools and to the NZ BumbleBee Conservation Trust for sharing them with us and telling us so much about these amazing creatures.🐝

The Otago Rural Support Trust are holding an event at Poolburn Hall next Thursday night with Willie Apiata - aimed at encouraging resilience in our rural communities. The event is for people aged 16+.

There are plenty of spaces left and they would love to fill the hall! There is no cost to attend but can attendees please register here to secure their spot, further details in the flyer below.

Well done to our Y8 curling team who represented Ōmakau School at the interschool tournament today. They played 15 games against other local schools. Thank you to Nat and Scotty for managing the team. They said they were really impressed with how well they worked as a team and supported each other. 🥌
