Young Leader’s Trip Update: The kids have had a blast at the National Young Leaders Conference (NYLD) 2026. Lots of key inspirational messages heard along with amazing break time dance energisers. Lucas, Carlotta and Mrs Leigh all ended up on stage at some point during the conference. Well done everyone!

Our Room 6 Young Leaders have safely arrived in Palmerston North and have begun their leadership camp experience with a very special visit to the beautiful Cathedral of the Holy Spirit. We were led in mass by none other than Bishop John Adams himself! How lucky are we?
It was also lovely to reconnect with a familiar face in Father Vui.

🏀 Today we had Coach Taylor from Basketball Taranaki come into our school to deliver some specialised Basketball skills sessions for our kids. The kids were absolutely buzzing after their 1st session and are keen for more over the next 4 weeks. Thanks so much Taylor!

🏊‍♂️ 🏃🏻 🚴‍♂️ School Triathlon 2026: A big well done to all of our children who gave it their best efforts in yesterdays fun Triathlon Event. It was so nice to witness some smiling faces and a sense of pride from the kids as they crossed the finish line. A big thank you to parents who were there in support, guiding their children through the event. A really cool experience for our school community. Thanks Ms Vanner and Mrs Leigh for all the organisational effort that went into making yesterday happen.

🪺 🐣 Easter Egg Hunt Recap: An outstanding job by our Head Students in organising and leading our 2026 version of the Easter Egg hunt for all of our tamariki to enjoy. A big well done to Regan, Michael, Nylah and Sebastian who found the special bonus egg prizes.

Just a reminder that all students in Nazareth House 🟡🟡 are welcome to wear m***i clothes on Thursday as a reward for winning the Term 1 House Competition!

🏊‍♂️ 🏊‍♂️ Swimming Sports Recap: A big well done to all of our children who participated today. We loved our new structure of having a seperate junior and senior event. All of our kids had an opportunity to showcase their swimming skills. A big thank you you to all our parents who came to support our kids and for those that gave us a hand with the many jobs that helped to make the day a success.

🏊‍♂️ Swimsafe Taranaki’s very own Cecilie Elliott was in amongst it this afternoon at our Wednesday swimming session. This week our Junior school were able to explore the water in a life jacket! The kids had a blast been put through a range of creative water safety scenarios. A big thank you to Cecillie. She will be back in a few weeks to guide our seniors through their life jacket session. 🏊‍♀️

St Joseph’s Community Connect: A big thanks to to everyone for coming along tonight to our Meet the Teacher Picnic evening. It was so nice to see our school community have the opportunity to connect with each other and to touch base with the teachers. Also the kids had a blast with all the bikes and sport equipment out! 🧺 🥤

“Signs out, wait, check, clear, cross now”. A big thank you to Constable Pip for coming into school today to ensure our Year 6-8 Road Patrollers are ready to keep us all safe this year when using the crossing. 👮
