Kia ora e te whānau
There is a real sense of excitement building around the College as we head into the final weeks of the term. While classrooms remain focused on learning and achievement, there is also an unmistakable buzz in the air as students prepare to take to the stage for our College Production, Back to the 80s.
Months of rehearsals, choreography, music practice, set construction, costume preparation and behind-the-scenes planning are coming together for what promises to be an outstanding show. Productions are one of the special occasions where the talents, passions and commitment of our students shine brightly. They provide opportunities for young people to step outside their comfort zones, build confidence, develop teamwork skills and create memories that will last a lifetime.
We warmly invite our whānau and wider community to join us for Back to the 80s on the 10th, 11th and 12th of June. Whether your child is performing on stage, working backstage, operating sound and lighting, or supporting the Production in another way, your presence means a great deal and helps celebrate the incredible effort that has gone into bringing the show to life.
As we move through the remainder of the term, I encourage our students to continue embracing every opportunity that comes their way. Success at College is about much more than academic results alone. It is found in the courage to audition for a role, the willingness to support a teammate, the determination to overcome challenges and the commitment to contribute positively to our community.
Thank you for the encouragement, support and partnership you provide. Together, we continue to create a College where students are challenged to learn, inspired to participate and empowered to succeed.
We look forward to seeing many of you at Back to the 80s and celebrating the remarkable talents of our students.
Wishing everyone a safe and restful weekend.
