TOMORROW FIRST SESSION FOR 2026!
we enter 2026, we invite you to explore our program designed for preschoolers, offering a fun and supported learning environment. Our sessions cater to various age groups, including all ages on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9am-1pm, and under-two sessions on Tuesday from 9-12, providing opportunities for parents to connect and thrive together.

Today, our community walk involved placing rock art throughout the neighborhood. We also found ANOTHER beautifully painted rock! We invite you to post pictures of any rocks you find on your walk around Outram on this page, so we can showcase them to the tamariki. The photos below may offer a hint about the locations we have chosen 😉

Come down to the Outram Market, we have beautiful baking for sale! There are lots of fantastic stalls inside and outside the new Maungatua Church Centre!

On Monday, we discovered a very cool rock painted as a ladybug with the name Caeli on the back. I'm unsure if this was left for us to find or if someone thought it belonged to one of our tamariki. Regardless, thank you! You've inspired us to create our own rock creations! We'll be hiding them around Outram next Monday. If you happen to find one, we'd love it if you could send us a picture of it on our page.

We were overwhelmed by support from locals business and the contributions we received. Without their support we wouldn’t have been able to offer awesome prize packages, we can’t thank you enough, we are extremely grateful. The prizes were that great we managed to raise $1260 towards our bike path, selling 255 tickets. A big thank you to family, friends and the local community that purchased tickets. The winners were -

*Prize package 4 - Heather Neilson

We hope the lucky winners will have a great time using the vouchers over the summer period.

And finally, we are excited to announce work on the bike path will be happening in the New Year, so the children will be able to enjoy it on their first session back to playcentre! So if you’re passing by please come and check it out!

As the year draws to a close, we took time to honor those embarking on new educational journeys, and those poised to follow suit next year. We shared Kai, played at Outram school, enjoyed favorite games, and decorated cupcakes. This special tradition celebrates our older tamariki, acknowledging their growth and time with us at Playcentre. It's always a joyous occasion for tamariki and parents, fostering lifelong friendships.
