Speed Management plan - have your say

Kāpiti Coast District Council have just released the draft Speed Management Plan for public consultation. There are several popular areas around the district proposed to have changes made to improve safety, particularly around schools.

There are proposed traffic calming measures and pedestrian improvements to a few spots here in Paekākāriki. Please take a look and we encourage you to submit your feedback via the Have Your Say website (linked below).
You can also give feedback to our community board directly by commenting below, email, or attending our next hui 18 August.

A section of The Parade will be temporarily closed from Monday 3 August while crews carry out work to rebuild the seawall.

The closure is expected to be in place for around three days, however ground conditions may extend this timeframe. A signed detour will be in place via Paneta Street, Wellington Road and Tangahoe Street. Residents within the closure area will still be able to access their properties. Pedestrian access will also remain available.

The Metlink bus stop near 116 The Parade will be temporarily relocated to north of Tangahoe Street during the works.
