🌿 What an action-packed Thursday at Curious by Nature! 🌿

From the moment we arrived, the kids were busy exploring, creating, and challenging themselves in so many different ways.

🔥 Learning how to safely start fires and enjoying responsible fire play.
🪵 Practising patience and skill through whittling.
🏨 Beginning construction on our very own Bug Hotel to create a home for all sorts of tiny creatures.
🎨 Getting creative with arts and crafts.
💦 Cooling off with plenty of water play.
🌿 Plus so much more outdoor fun, laughter, teamwork, and adventure!

It’s amazing to watch confidence grow as children are trusted with real tools, solve problems together, and spend the day immersed in nature.

Another unforgettable day full of muddy boots, happy smiles, and curious minds. 💚🍃

✨ Happy Matariki! ✨

What a beautiful way to celebrate the season! 🌟 Yesterday was another fabulous day here at Curious by Nature, filled with adventure, laughter, muddy boots, curious minds, and plenty of time exploring the great outdoors.

From creating, climbing, discovering and working together, every moment reminded us how much children thrive when given the freedom to connect with nature and each other. 💚🌿

Matariki is a time to reflect, celebrate, and look ahead with hope—and we feel so grateful to share these special moments with such incredible tamariki.

✨ Snippets from our first day of the holiday programme! 🌿

What a way to kick things off! From muddy boots and big adventures to creative play, laughter, and plenty of fresh air, today was packed with everything childhood should be.

There’s something pretty special about a day where the kids are too busy exploring to even think about screens. 💚

Teacher Only Day Fun! 🌿🪵

Today wasn’t just about preparing for our upcoming holiday programme—it was about learning too!

The team spent the day creating, building, and getting everything ready for an action-packed week, including our awesome new wobbly bridge (we may have had just as much fun testing it as the kids will! 🤭).

This is just the beginning of our obstacle course! We have big plans to keep adding to it and growing it through the trees over time, creating even more exciting challenges and adventures for the children to explore.

One thing we love about Curious by Nature is that learning never stops. Even as teachers, we’re always trying new things, building new skills, and finding fresh ways to create exciting experiences for the children.

We can’t wait to see the kids put our newest creations to the test! 🌱💚

🎣🌊 Road Trip Day! 🚐

Today we packed up the van and headed off on an adventure to Maketū Beach! Sometimes the best classroom doesn’t have four walls—it has sand between your toes, salty air, and endless opportunities to explore.

The children spent the morning trying their luck with a spot of fishing, learning that patience is just as important as bait! While the fish weren’t exactly lining up to be caught, there were plenty of laughs, stories shared, and excitement with every cast.

Of course, no trip to the beach would be complete without some good old-fashioned beach play. From building, digging and exploring to simply enjoying the freedom to roam, imaginations ran wild and friendships grew even stronger.

These are the days that create lifelong memories—where children connect with nature, challenge themselves, and discover that adventure can be found just around the corner.

We can’t wait to see where our next road trip takes us! 💚🌿
