A series of free school holiday pop-up events for tamariki and rangatahi within our shared community.
Programme Overview
These events are designed to provide safe, engaging, and positive experiences that support:
Confidence building
Connection and whakawhanaungatanga
Exposure to creative, cultural, and physical activities
Inspiration through local role models and pathways
All events are fully funded, including kai, water, and transport to and from all activities
Pick-up and drop-off location:
Highbury Whānau Centre, 155 Highbury Avenue
Event Schedule
Monday 13 July – Ages 5–7
9:30am – 2:15pm
Gymnastics free play
Arts, crafts and dance workshops
Matariki-themed creative activities
Reflection and wellbeing activities
Tuesday 14 July – Ages 8–10
10:00am – 2:15pm
Gymnastics session
Choice-based creative workshops (dance or arts)
Matariki arts & creativity
Meet a local athlete / role model
Wednesday 15 July – Ages 11–13
10:00am – 2:15pm
Sport and activity rotations
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu / conditioning
Meet an athlete Q&A session
Thursday 16 July – Ages 14+
10:00am – 4:00pm
Functional fitness and training sessions
Music and creative experience
Pathways kōrero and tertiary exposure
Visit to Massey University
⚠️ Important Information
Each event is limited to 20 participants only
We anticipate spaces will fill quickly due to the small cohort sizes
Registrations will close once each event reaches capacity
