The atmosphere was filled with laughter, dancing, and celebration as our seniors came together to create memories that will last a lifetime. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying such a special occasion and marking this important milestone in their school journey.

🎬✨ Yesterday our Year 12 and 13 Media Studies students had a fantastic time taking part in a Digital Media Immersion experience at 3 mirage in Rotorua.

Students gained valuable insight into the world of digital media, exploring industry tools, techniques, and creative processes. The experience provided plenty of inspiration and ideas as they continue developing their own media projects and pathways.

A huge thank you to the team at 3 Mirage for hosting our students and sharing their expertise. It was an engaging and inspiring day for everyone involved! 🎥💡

We need your help!

We are urgently seeking homestay families for international students arriving in July.

These students are travelling to New Zealand very soon and are excited to experience life in a welcoming Kiwi home. We still have a few students to place, and we are reaching out to our community for support.

Hosting is a meaningful way to share your home and culture, build lasting international friendships, and receive homestay income ($350 per week). You do not need to have children at the school, just a spare room and a welcoming home environment.

We have students needing a wonderful home for only 2 weeks through to a term or two....

If you are able to help, know someone that might, or you would like more information, simply email us today on [email protected]

Help us make New Zealand feel like home.

There are prizes up for grabs for our top fundraisers, and we’ll also be running a bake sale in Week 9 to help support our fundraising efforts.

🌱♻️ EnviroChallenge Success! ♻️🌱

Congratulations to our fantastic EnviroChallenge team, who recently competed against seven other schools from across the region in a series of sustainability and environmental-focused challenges.

This year’s competition challenged students to:
👕 Create a presentation and social media reel exploring the impact of Fast Fashion
🥤 Debate whether a mandatory container deposit return scheme should be introduced
🛠️ Design a useful product made from melted-down bottle caps

Our team of Emma Snell, Brooke Jackson, Cindy Gibson, Miro Robertson, Ethan Reddish, Maddy Treanor (Year 12) and Lennox Le Noel (Year 11) represented Pāpāmoa College with enthusiasm, creativity and strong environmental awareness.

We are incredibly proud of their efforts and are thrilled to share that they were awarded the 2nd Place Rising Star Award! 🌟

Well done to all involved on this outstanding achievement and for your commitment to creating a more sustainable future.

🎭✨ National Stage Success! ✨🎭

Congratulations to our talented Pāpāmoa College Shakespeare team, who proudly represented the Bay of Plenty at the Shakespeare Globe Centre New Zealand National Shakespeare Festival in Wellington over King’s Birthday Weekend.

Their imaginative performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream showcased months of hard work, creativity, and dedication on the prestigious St James Theatre stage.

A special congratulations to Jake Bailey, who was awarded Best Communication with the Audience, recognising his outstanding ability to engage and connect with audiences.

We are incredibly proud of Biane Alberts, Layla Clarke, Harper Clarke, Georgia Henzler, Emma Hunt, and Jake Bailey for representing our school with passion, professionalism, and excellence. Ka rawe! 👏🎭
