🌧️🏃‍♂️ WBOP Cross Country Championships 🏃‍♀️🌧️

With wet, muddy, and slippery conditions underfoot, our Papamoa Cluster runners showed incredible determination and resilience today at the WBOP Cross Country Championships.

A huge congratulations to the 8 talented athletes who qualified from Papamoa Primary to represent the Papamoa Cluster. You did us proud, as always!

The competition was fierce, with some incredibly fast runners from across the Western Bay. You were competing against the very best, and each of you gave it your all.

Thank you for your sportsmanship, effort, and positive attitude throughout the day. We are so proud of the way you represented our school and cluster.

Mānawatia a Matariki! To celebrate the Māori New Year, our kura will be preparing a hāngī for our students on Thursday 2 July.

Our guiding theme this year is Matariki Herenga Waka – For Everyone & Celebrating Together. This is a sacred time to anchor our waka together, reflecting on those who have gone before us, celebrating our current achievements, and looking forward to the future over shared kai.

More information will come out closer to the time. Atu i tērā, if you would like to be involved in any way, you are welcome to join us.

What a great time everyone had during the Tūhua FIFA World Cup Tournament on Friday! There was lots of great football on display, and it was wonderful to see our tamariki giving it a go with enthusiasm and pride.
A big shout out to Jason, our caretaker, for marking out the fields at Simpson Reserve, and to Papamoa Football Club for kindly lending us the goals!

Our big Showquest performance is just around the corner! Our tamariki have been working incredibly hard, putting in lots of mahi and spending many break times rehearsing. We are so proud of their dedication, enthusiasm, and teamwork. We can't wait to take to the stage at Mercury Arena next week and share our performance with the audience!
