🌟 Room 12 has been buzzing with teamwork this term! 🌟

It is so wonderful to see our students enjoying learning alongside one another. Here is a little sneak peek at what Room 12 has been up to recently:

🔬 Getting hands-on in Science by making observations and examining 'forces'.
🎨 Unleashing their creativity in art.
📚 Sharing a love of books through buddy reading.
➕ Working hard to master their math and spelling skills!

Making Maths Count in Room 4!

Room 4 has been diving into the world of multiplication! Lately, we have been focusing on how arrays (arranging objects into neat rows and columns) can help us visualise and represent different multiplication equations.

Instead of counting items one by one, this method has trained our brains to count in "groups" and use skip-counting to solve equations much faster and more efficiently. It has been a wonderful hands-on, visual, and fun way for us to truly see and demonstrate what multiplication is all about.

🌟 Exciting Learning Update from Tahatai Coast School! 🌟
We are learning to show that we can comprehend what we are reading by using the information in the story to create our very own news reports! 📰✨
In this fun project, we filmed ourselves delivering our reports using a Green Screen, bringing our stories to life with animated backgrounds we created in Keynote. 🎥💚
These amazing presentations have been shared on Seesaw along with our learning reflections, showcasing our hard work and creativity. We are so proud of what we’ve achieved!

Pattern Fun in Room 18
We've been busy finding, creating, and extending patterns in maths. The children have discovered that patterns are everywhere—from animal markings and nature to music and calendars!

As part of our 'Wild about Weather' learning, room 29 went on an autumn leaf hunt. They made some painted leaf prints which were then finished with crayon and felts to create fabulous autumn trees and forests.

We had a large group of Year 4-6 tamariki represent Tahatai at the Mount Cluster Cross-Country today. This year, it was held along the waterways close to school. Congratulations to all the children that participated today and showed perseverance and determination to do their best!
