Day One - Kokako Lodge camp Hunua Falls.
We had a great trip down, starting activities as soon as we got to camp. The kids completed the chariot challenge and bushcraft, exploring the Hunua Ranges and checking out the raging waterfall. Fine weather, amazing food, Epic!

Ngahere update
On our recent visits to the ngahere, tamariki were encouraged to look down, under, and in - paying close attention to creatures living there. We also attacked the pest plant, stinking iris, which we need to remove before other plans can be started.
And during Enviro, we also discovered that patches of damp branches, and rubbish, close to the school also provide safe habitats for native creatures. The wētā was not too happy to be disturbed and gladly scurried into the crevice on a tree stump when it was relocated.

Congratulations to all our tamariki who received values certificates at Week 4 hui
Room 3 shared their writing about caterpillars & butterflies, and how we can use Numicon shapes to learn addition facts, and teen numbers.

Congratulations to all our tamariki who received Values, and Attendance certificates at hui on Friday, 1st May.
Our Beekeepers from Term 4 2025 and Term 1 2026 received a certificate, and a jar of the honey produced by our bees.
Thanks to Hubands for donating drink bottles for each student.

Evening Whanau just a reminder that all students need to bring an old T-shirt for their upcycle workshop tomorrow. We do have some spares.

Taipuha bus is broken down at our school. It could be at least an hour before another bus turns up. Please come and get your kids if you can 😀
