Forest and Bird is looking for people (couples are fine) to be voluntary warden(s) at Tautuku next summer.
Wardens stay for one month between October and April each year and maintain the accomodation surrounds and liaise with the guests and manager.
A great chance to join thelocal community and get to know the Catlins and the Society’s biggest reserve.

T**i are amongst our most special seabirds, nesting sites are rare on the mainland. The Papatowai Forest Heritage Trust works to protect a small colony on the nearby coast. This year the birds have returned from their annual migration to the North Pacific and several are actively coming and going from their burrows. Our wildlife camera captures this activity.
