Hi all, the purpose of this page is to report any suspicious activity from our Auckland Marketplace FB Page. It is Aucklands, biggest buy sell trade page that is free for all users. However, with that, comes scammers. We don't take responsibility for any loss/scams/theft etc. The purpose of this page is to raise awareness of scammers, so others can avoid them, we can report them, remove/block from our page and help others.

It is important, if you have been a victim of a scam, to report to police etc. But more importantly, to prevent this is to do your research. We suggest, you do not transfer money online to anyone you don't know. This is the most common case we hear from.

Seems HRV are back at it again.. Received 3 phonecalls in the last 4 weeks offering everything under the sun. It took ten minutes to get the last one off the damn phone.. Next time I'm just hanging up.. You can see how old people are pressured into buying their stuff

Got a message from a concerned citizen and I can empathize, so please beware of these people. All repair shops have a space for placing feedback, this feedback was posted on there website, but it said "awaiting moderation" i.e. any negative feedback that comes in they can remove it. No other website to place feedback so I have to help out this person. This was the feedback posted below:

"Took my phone to get fixed, I got a quote and advised to go ahead with the repair. They said it’ll take a day and they’ll ring me next day to pick it up. The following day I didn’t get a call so I called back in the afternoon to find out they needed it for two more days. The communication from them from beginning to end was very bad. Not once when they said they’ll call, that they did. I made all the contact. It ended taking two weeks waiting for this repair and than finding out it couldn’t be fixed and than quoting me more to fix the issue. Very mad and never using these guys again. Thankfully I’ve found another repair shop on Facebook that was able to fix my phone for fraction of the price these people were charging. Never going back and warning to others. These people are ripping us off of our hard earned money." - concerned citizen.

Anyone else with a similar problem please get in touch, we need to stop these scammers.
