The late proprietor Jim Baird's collection of various model cars, parts and memorabilia. Located in Patea, New Zealand, it was described as a mini MOTAT, a huge warehouse filled with old cars out of movies, including th

e Kiwi Shell car from the NZ movie cult classic "Came a Hot Friday". Jim was a well known town local who advocated for the town and its residents and held much pride living in the community of Patea. There have been numerous articles published on his car museum collection, his involvement with the local RSA and his council issue challenges, including his rogue gardening activities with the aim in beautifying the town. Jim would usually sit outside his garage with his sausage dog Ted (the town's self proclaimed Mayor of Patea). Following Jim's passing in 2019, Ted was re-homed to a loving family. Jim was more than happy to provide visitors with a guided tour of his collection and multiple restoration projects that he was working on, prior to his death. Due to COVID19 travel restrictions, the family were not able to tend to the site till recently. Any sales will help fund the repairs to the building that were inflicted during that time.
