This is Emily Robertson's latest Musical Theatre show. It is Emily's first full scale musical production, and she has a feature role as Old Man Jenkins, along with several other characters and a busy part of the singing and dancing ensemble. After a full term of rehearsing up to 9 hours a week, she is so excited to bring these characters to life and do what she loves - performing. It is such a fun show for all ages, and she would love to see you all there.

Kia ora Pauatahanui Community,

The Pauatahanui Diamonds netball team is excited to be travelling to Tauranga at the end of the season to compete in the 2026 AIMs Games. This is the first time our school will be sending athletes to this event, making it a very special and exciting opportunity for both the team and our wider school community.

To help cover the costs of travel, accommodation, food and tournament fees for our ten players, the team will be fundraising throughout the year. We are also seeking support from local businesses and community members who may be interested in sponsoring the team. This could be through a monetary donation or by contributing items that we can use for raffle prizes.

Please note that Lamb & Calf Day 2026 will now be held on:

⏰ 10:00am – 2:00pm

Lamb & Calf Day is always a fantastic day out for the whole community. Come along and enjoy a fun-filled day with animals to see, games for the kids, digger rides, delicious food, craft stalls, and plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy.

It’s a great chance to support our school, spend time with friends and family, and enjoy a lively community event.

Kia ora koutou

According to Wellington Electricity, the power outage will continue into today. As the power has been out for longer than 24 hours, the backup battery for the fire protection system at school is no longer operational, meaning the school has no fire protection.
As this is a health and safety issue, the board has decided that the school must remain closed.
We thank you for your patience.

🏆🐑 Animal Ring Competition – Lamb & Calf Day 2025! 🐄🎉

We’re excited to welcome entries from all primary-aged students in the Wellington Region for our 2025 Ring Animal Showing!

Who can enter:
Students in Years 0–8 enrolled at a Wellington Region school.
Lambs, calves, and other eligible animals born no earlier than 1st March 2025.

Competition highlights:
Animals judged in combined year groups, with 3 placings per group.
First-place winners in each group go forward to the ‘Best In Show’ competition – don’t disappear after your group placing!
Optional Dress Up category – dress your animal and yourself for extra fun! 🎩✨

Entry & Rules:
No cost to enter.
Students must lead and control their animals around a small course and answer care questions.
Animals must wear a halter or lead when not in pens.
Entries close: 5pm Sunday 26th October 2025.

Event Day Details:
📅 Date: Saturday 8th November 2025
🕙 Time: 10am – 2pm
📍 Location: Top field, Pāuatahanui School
Animal check-in: 7:30AM – 8:15AM (all animals must be in pens by 8:15AM)
Practice/familiarisation: 8:30 – 9:00AM
Judging starts: 10:00AM (age groups, then Best in Show, followed by Dress Up)
Animal collection: from 2:30PM, must be collected by 4:00PM

We’ll provide water, shade, and a vet on site – please bring any extra feed your animal needs. For safety, animals must be walked, not driven, onto school grounds.

The board invites applications from parents who wish to enrol their children at Pauatahanui School for 2026. Enrolment forms can be completed online via the school website - https://enrolments.linc-ed.com/apply/NZ/2953.

Enrolment at the school is governed by an enrolment scheme, details of which are available on the school website or at the school office.

The deadline for receipt of applications for out-of-zone places is 3.00pm Wednesday, 10th September.

Parents of students who live within the home zone should also apply by this date to assist the school in planning appropriately for next year.

The board will determine how many places are likely to be available for out-of-zone students in 2026 once all in-zone applications have been received. The number of out-of-zone places available for 2026 will be made public on Friday, 19th September.

If the number of out-of-zone applications exceeds the number of places available, students will be selected by ballot. If a ballot is required, it will be held on Friday, 17th October. Parents will be informed of the outcome of the ballot within three school days of the ballot being held.
