Ngāti Toa School

Ngāti Toa School Ngāti Toa Contributing School Ngāti Toa School is a small primary school situated in Titahi Bay, Porirua. It caters for students from years 1 to 6.

Most on the roll identify as Māori and the school has a close association with the local marae. While education is provided in English, tikanga Māori is incorporated naturally in daily routines and practices. The school operates as a whānau and is warm and welcoming. It is an established part of the community and many on the roll are second generation students. The principal and most staff are lon

g serving and know the school's community members well. The buildings and grounds are maintained to a high standard and presented attractively. Foyers and corridors are brought to life with good quality colourful displays of student work. Classrooms are suitably furnished and equipped, and feature similar displays to celebrate learning and value effort. Students are able to enjoy a range of recreational opportunities in wide open spaces or more enclosed areas. Supervision at break times is effective and students participate positively in their playtime activities.
