Warm Pacific Greetings, our school community is working hard to create a warm and vibrant school environment. We are a multicultural school and currently have 150 students on our roll from years 1-6. We believe in a holistic approach in teaching to meet the needs of our diverse learners.

Join us tomorrow at 9:00am for our Sāmoan Language Week Opening Ceremony as we celebrate our language, culture, and heritage together.

We would love to see our tamaiti dressed in Sāmoan attire if they have some at home.

Fa'afetai lava and see you there! ❤️💙🤍

'Russell School is cool!' Yip!...Russell School is even cool on Mondays! Fa'afetai to Kenape who visited our kura on Friday to encourage us all to attend school every day because Mondays matter too! Thank you to our whānau who are encouraging our children to attend regularly! It makes a big difference to their learning, friendships and confidence!

Kia ora whānau,

Wellington south of Tawa is currently under a red weather warning for strong wind and heavy rain until tonight. We are north of Tawa and are currently under an orange weather watch. At this stage, due to the strong winds, only a limited number of staff will be on site.

However Room 1 and Room 5 will be closed today.

Please only send your child to school if you absolutely have no other option and it is safe to do so. If not, your child is welcome to stay home and their absence will be justified.

Safety comes first. Thank you for your understanding.
