Staff Spotlight! πŸ’«

Welcome to Kalolaine Viviena Tulia, who joins our Family Works team in Masterton.

Born and raised in Tonga, Kalolaine moved to New Zealand almost 20 years ago. She spent nine years living in Auckland, followed by six years in Palmerston North, before settling in Masterton, where she has now been for almost four years. Kalolaine is a proud mother of six: three boys and three girls.

Before joining Family Works, Kalolaine worked as a support worker in Mental Health and Addiction services, where she developed a deep passion for walking alongside people on their journey to find their way back.

If there's one thing Kalolaine wants others to know, it's this: "There's always a light at the end of the tunnel." 🌈

Your kindness can continue changing lives. πŸ’š

This Wills Week, we're inviting our community to think about the difference a Gift in Will can make for children, young people and whānau facing life's challenges.

Many people don't realise how simple it can be to include a charity in their Will, or that they can choose exactly how their gift is used.

A Gift in Will can help ensure future tamariki and whānau continue to receive the support, guidance and care they need to thrive.

After caring for your loved ones, a gift of any size can create a lasting legacy for generations to come.

If supporting children and families is important to you, we'd love to have a conversation.

We popped out of the office today to visit Z Energy station on Mungavin Ave, Porirua!

Every token received is a vote of support for the mahi we do with children in schools through Family Works.

Our Social Workers in Schools team supports tamariki and rangatahi at 12 local schools in the Porirua area.

The more tokens, the higher our share of the $5,000 donation from Z Energy. Voting finishes on September 14.

Thanks for supporting us! Aroha nui πŸ’š

It's confidential, non-judgemental, and may be free or low-cost depending on your situation.

You don't have to go through it alone. πŸ’›
