Thank You, Queenstown Community! ❤️

Last weekend, the Frankton Volunteer Fire Brigade took on the Sky Tower Challenge, climbing 51 floors in full firefighting gear to raise funds for Blood Cancer New Zealand.

Thanks to the incredible support of our community, we raised over $36,000! We were also proud to achieve 3rd place in the 6–9 member team category.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, shared, encouraged, and supported us along the way. Your generosity will help make a real difference to those affected by blood cancer.

We are proud to be part of such a supportive community. Thank you! 🚒💙

Is your chimney clean? 🔥

Some insurance companies may not cover damage from chimney fires if the flue hasn’t been swept in the past 12 months.

Stay fire safe this winter and make sure your chimney is checked and maintained.

Rockformation recently held another successful Gigs on the Green concert at the village green in town where our awesome local young Musicians performed and received donations. A great opportunity for our young musicians to show off their talent.

The Frankton Volunteer Fire Brigade would like to acknowledge and thank Rockformation for the kind donation that was shared by us and our friends down the road at St John Queenstown.

🚨Thank you to Queenstown Airport 🚨

Frankton Volunteer Fire Brigade were some of the lucky recipients of last year's Queenstown Airport (ZQN) Community Fund.

This enabled the Brigade to purchase some new gear bags for our members. The purpose of the gear bags is to enable us to carry easily our Level 1 PPE with us on every call which consists of steel cap boots, overalls, gloves and a rescue helmet.

We elected to go with a NZ made bag from Cactus Outdoor, anyone who knows Cactus will know the quality is second to none and this was particularly important to us as the bags get thrown around a lot. It was also great to support a New Zealand manufacturing business.

Special mention also to 45South Community Foundation who administer the fund on behalf of Queenstown Airport

We are very grateful for the generous support we have received and how it will benefit our members and the communities we serve.

Frankton Volunteer Fire Brigade would like to thank Harriet Cuff, Rebekah Frear, Taylor Friesen, Jemima Tennekoon and Emily Sceats from Bayleys Queenstown who participated in the Queenstown Marathon a while back and raised some funds on our behalf. This enabled the Brigade to purchase some new power tools for our Light Response Vehicle. Well done ladies on the run and thanks for your efforts and support 🏃‍♀️‍➡️🏃‍♀️‍➡️🏃‍♀️‍➡️🏃‍♀️‍➡️🏃‍♀️‍➡️.
