Over the past month, we’ve definitely felt the impact of winter bugs across our kura πŸ€’πŸ€§

A huge thank you for keeping your tamariki home when they’re unwell and sending them back as soon as they’re feeling better! It makes a massive difference to both their learning and the health of our entire school community.

Despite the seasonal sniffles, we’ve seen wonderfully steady attendance right across the month. We know how much effort it takes to keep daily routines going this time of year. Your support keeps our classrooms settled, connected, and focused πŸ“šβ€οΈ

πŸ“š Book Week Wrap-Up! 🌟

We had a fabulous Book Week at RBS! Throughout the week, our learners got stuck into making custom bookmarks in the library, participating in national read-alongs, and diving into online author sessions.

The highlight was definitely our Book Character Dress-Up Dayβ€”our first whole-school costume parade in years! We were completely blown away by everyone’s incredible costumes and loved seeing the huge variety of characters walking around school.

Thank you to all our parents and caregivers for supporting the dress-up day and helping make Book Week so special for our tamariki!

βž• WHAT A FANTASTIC MATHS WEEK AT RBS! βœ–οΈβž—

Our learners have been diving into all things numbers, shapes, and problem-solving this week! Here is a snapshot of what our teams got up to:

πŸ”’ Wharemauku: Showed off some awesome hands-on learning, writing numbers from 1 to 10, skip counting, and celebrating 100 days of school with their buddy class!

πŸ“ Te Mania: Took learning outdoors for hands-on measuring, using the surroundings around them to work out different measurements.

🎲 Te Moana & Team Kapiti: Sharpened their decimal knowledge during awesome daily maths warm-ups and tackled problem-solving skills with a fun game of Mathzee!

A huge ka pai to all our tamariki for bringing so much enthusiasm to Maths Week! 🌟
