🚫 Wipe out the wipes, Reefton!

A messy blockage of wet wipes was recently found in the pipework in Reefton 🪠

❎ It’s really important to remember that wet wipes, including the ones labelled flushable, aren’t safe for pipes – they tangle up the machinery, cause pump failures, block pipes and leave our team elbow-deep in the kind of job no one wants.

🧻 A quick rule of thumb for your toilet is only flush the three Ps: P*e, Poo and (toilet) Paper. That’s it 🚽

🛁 Every time you shower, do dishes, or flush, that water becomes wastewater - and it’s up to all of us to keep the system flowing smoothly.

👍 Thanks for your help keeping Reefton’s pipes wipe-free!
