Members of Golden Bays Promotions Association At Teanaroa Caves we provide tours that are affordable,friendly and fun,in a naturally occurring environment,where stalactites and stalagmites abound, and glow-worms adorn the ceiling. Teanaroa caves have been open since 1904, after they were discovered by the Lash brothers and Jeff Lash's dog Tim. You can expect to have an informative and safe tour, with our experienced guides. Rebecca Cave is different to Te Anaroa Cave. Te Anaroa Cave is an ancient cave with fossils, stalactites and stalagmites. You will abseil from the Te Anaroa Cave system, into Rebecca Caves. Rebecca Cave is a modern-day "living" cave. That means water flows through it and - instead of finding fossils - the creatures in Rebecca Cave are alive and well. Te Anaroa 1....Easy 1 hour tour.
