Today was the Manawatu Cross Country in Ashhurst. We had a group of 15 students head along and participate. Everyone put in a massive effort and we had some amazing results!

Afternoon everyone,

Our school cross country is fast approaching. It is on the calendar for Friday 12th June. We are running it slightly differently this year having a few races before lunchtime and the rest after.

11.45am - Year 7/8 Boys race

12pm - Year 7/8 Girls race

12.30-1.30 Lunchtime

1.40pm - Year 3/4 Boys race

1.50pm - Year 3/4 Girls race

2pm - Year 5/6 Boys race

2.15pm - Year 5/6 Girls race

2.30pm - Year 0-2 Boys race

2.40pm - Year 0-2 Girls race

We are running it on Robinson's farm again this year and it is advised that students wear shoes as they are running through paddocks and on farm tracks. Everyone will come to school in uniform and then get changed into house colours for their races.

No children are to be taken home until the last race is finished. If you are going to take your child at the end of the last race please let their classroom teacher know and sign them out.

Evening everyone,

Just a reminder to all those Year 3-8's going to the Tough Guy & Gal tomorrow to be at school by 8.40am. Don't forget shoes to complete the event in, a towel, a change of clothes and something warm to put on afterwards. Students are to come in m***i, not uniform, and they can bring dress ups or costumes to run in. Please also ensure lots of food and drink is packed. There is hot food available so your child can bring along money with them if they wish to purchase something.

It is a fun day out with lots of spot prizes and everyone gets a medal as they finish.

Today we took two teams to the TK Cluster Rippa Rugby Tournament at Tangimoana. Our Year 5&6 team did really well coming away with a few wins and playing in some closely contested games! Well done to you!

Our Year 7&8 team had an amazing day getting through to the final in straight wins and then playing Bainesse again to win 11-5. Well done to Luke Mayo too who came away with the one of the two best and fairest players for the Year 7/8 final. 🤩
