The baby kūmara plants at the Kaipara Kumara greenhouse are the some of the fore bearers of 2029 and 2030 commercial kūmara crop.

It takes a couple of seasons in the the fields bulking up enough kūmara propagating material to get the numbers required for a commercial crop 🍠

Flashback Friday - Throwing it back to April when some of the Woolworths team came to visit us here in Kaipara! 👋

We took the team out to visit Doug and his kūmara farm in Dargaville, giving them a chance to see a little bit of what goes on behind the scenes 🌱

It was a great day out on the farm, sharing stories and getting our hands amongst the kūmara!
