We sadly had some uninvited guests lurking around the village on Saturday morning about 5:50am stealing things that didn’t belong to them. Unfortunately couldn’t get their car as they appear to have parked in the reserve. Keep things locked up people as they appear to be taking what ever they can.

So lucky to have these amazing volunteers supporting our community.

We don’t just put out fires. Fire and Emergency brigades also attend medical incidents. So if you call 111 in a medical emergency, don’t be alarmed if we turn up first - we’re there to help.

Our people are qualified and trained to provide medical assistance until an ambulance arrives.

Most Fire and Emergency brigades are co-response brigades, meaning we respond to medical emergencies and attend incidents where people are in life threatening cardiac or respiratory arrest. But we also have nearly 60 brigades who are qualified first response brigades. These brigades undergo additional training and may be first on the scene to a broader range of medical incidents where we can provide medical assistance.
