Lincoln Kirk, Mason Wootten, George Anderson, Oscar Swindells and Mitchell Stiven all played for the Eastern Southland U14 A team at a tournament in Oamaru over the weekend. Some tough games against some tough opposition resulted in
vs South Canterbury loss by 11
vs Central Lakes loss 40 - 43
vs Southland A loss 33 - 51
vs Otago A loss 23 - 51
The boys will head to the South Island Regional U14 Champs in the school holidays.

Newsletter Term 3 Week 7 2026

Last day of SISS Netball. First game saw a tightly contested game which resulted in a 24-30 loss to Burnside High School. This meant a play off for 7th/8th against Verdon College. This game was back and forward the whole game with both teams never giving up. The final score being a 18-17 win, meaning the team finished 7th. We farewell our three year 13's Lilly, Emily and Maddy and also Mrs Venz who has been a key organiser in this tournament and many others. Her time, effort and support throughout the years has been greatly appreciated!

Well done Valerie Woodham who joined the OBHS ice hockey team this week at tournament. The coach said that her performance was stellar. The team came 6th and won the Fairplay award.
