Kia ora e te whānau,
You are invited to come to our Ngā Tohora e Toru and Hono Sharing Day. Please come and see what we have been learning this term.

Come and wander through the hall anytime on Friday 11th September between 10:00 and 12:30. Below are the times that ‘buddy classes’ have been allocated to see our exhibition. Feel free to come with your child’s class or if you have more than 1 child, go through the exhibition as a family.

10:00 - Room 1 and Room 5
10:20 - Room 3 and Room 8
10:40 - Room 4 and Room 7
11:20 - Te Awaroa

At 11:00 we will be privileged to have our Rā Whakangahau Kapa Haka Group perform for us in the hall.

Our Orchard.

Spring is definitely just around the corner. The fruit trees are starting to bud and we continue to have mandarins ripening on the trees. We have a new path that will make for easy access for us all. One thing I do ask is that we all look after this amazing space we are creating. It is disappointing to see household ash from fires along with rubbish being dumped on the paths and around trees. Please if you have time to come and wander through and pick a piece of fruit you are most welcome. There are always weeds to pull out and mulch to be spread.

On Thursday 3rd September we have our final Inter-School Sports Competition. Details in the attached flyer. If you have some time, feel free to come and support the tamariki involved.

We celebrated Multicultural day today.
This was all about recognising the diversity in our Kura. A wonderful way to celebrate ourselves and each other.

Friday 28th August is the West Cluster Basketball Tournament. Students participating should have brought a notice home with all the necessary information which is also included in this poster. Looking forward to a fun filled day.

Today we had a Staff Only Day. We were privileged to have Ange from Moko Made spend the day with us. During this day, through raranga, weaving tukutuku panels, we experienced the connection between pattern, story, and meaning. We grew to understand that every stitch has intention, whakapapa, and symbolism - just like every learner brings their own worldview, history, and knowledge systems.
The physical act helped us grasp that culture isn’t an abstract “extra” - it’s a living part of identity that can be woven into the learning process. We look forward to hanging our completed mahi for all to see.
