Are you ready to build your future with us? We are thrilled to invite all prospective families to the Te Puke High School Open Night.

Join us on Tuesday, 28th July from 5:30pm to 8:30pm for an introduction to our school and a guided tour. This event provides a wonderful opportunity to view our informative displays, tour the campus, and chat with our teachers and student leaders.

As you look towards Enrolment 2027, please note that out-of-zone ballot results drop on 11 September, and Plus Ultra High Performance applications close on 18 September. Plus Ultra testing takes place in October, with final enrolment confirmations heading out to our new Year 9 families in December.

We cannot wait to welcome you through our gates and show you what makes our school so special. Share this post with any families looking to join the Te Puke High School community.

The EnviroCommittee have designed and decorated an Egg to enter in the Te Puke Easter Festival. This is one of 12 eggs created by the community on display for an art scavenger hunt. The theme our students chose to incorporate was “promoting sustainability both in school and the community”. A powerful reminder of the forever impacts upon our whenua, the group included a whakatauki relevant to their interpretation and creation of their Egg. “Whantungarongaro te tangata, toitū te whenua – As man disappears from sight, the land remains”.

A big thank you and shout out to our sponsor for this project: Bioeconomy Science Institute Te Puke

Check out this group’s artwork and dedication, as well as the other fantastic Eggs, at the Easter Festival at Jubilee Park on Saturday 4th April. There is also a People’s Choice Award for the Eggs.

Kia ora Whānau, Parents and Caregivers

I am sharing the latest updates that we have received regarding the weather. Paramount for us is the health and wellbeing of our students, staff and community as we deal with the deteriorating conditions.

As the rain continues, we have been informed that a number of roads in our catchment area have either been closed or have surface water making travel difficult.

The buses are running as scheduled at this stage although some routes may not be fully accessible. Where necessary buses may need to try alternative routes if they face significant obstacles. This will mean some delays and some of our students may not be home at the scheduled times. Where possible students will be encouraged to communicate with parents and caregivers so the updates are live if there are any changes.

Parents and caregivers are welcome to arrange to collect their students from school if they have any concerns about the buses being able to complete their regular routes.

I hope our community stays safe during these difficult times.

Deputy Principal
