With Waitangi Day only a day away it’s timely to reflect on the history of this country and it’s communities. If you have an interest in Edwardian architecture and/or history then the historic Te Aroha Domain, nestled at the bottom of sacred Mt Te Aroha, is the place to fill your boots - so to speak.

Come and enjoy the renowned Te Aroha Mineral Spas, Te Aroha & Districts Museum and the other activities based in the Domain. There are also a number of walks that start from there. Or simply relax under a tree with a picnic, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings while you reflect on the past.

Matamata Piako doesn’t have one dominant town - it’s lucky to have three main towns within a short drive of each other. One thing they all have in common is fabulous cafes that serve great coffee and edible delights.

Whether you’re exploring Matamata, Morrinsville or Te Aroha be sure to take the time to find your new favourite hang out. You can thank us later.

When storing unwanted items becomes a work of art in their own right.

At Adrian Worsley’s gallery in Te Aroha, you’ll not only be amazed at the sculptures he creates from scrap metal, but also the displays that’ve grown from items that might come in handy one day.

This guy’s a talented artist to say the least and hosts group tours of his gallery on certain days of the week. Get a booking in your calendar - you’ll never look at scrap metal the same way again 😊
