Meet our candidate for this years election Dave Richards for Rangitata!
I’m Dave, a sheep and beef farmer and father of five, standing for the Green Party in Rangitata this election.
Agriculture teaches you to face what’s in front of you. I’ve built a life through farming, and I’ve seen how tough it’s become for people to get ahead and the pressure our environment is under. On the farm ignoring problems doesn’t fix them. You face them and get on with it.
People are working hard and doing their part, but it’s getting harder to build a secure future. That’s not good enough. Everyone deserves a fair go. That’s why I’m standing with the Green Party to tackle the cost of living, build a fairer tax system, and make sure government backs people, not just wealth.
We’ve got everything we need to build a better future. But we're going to need your help to make that change, so share the message, volunteer and pitch in to build a better future for all of us.
