On Saturday, our team from Thames were joined by Pylat from Tapu brigade, to race up the Sky Tower in full firefighting kit to raise vital funds and awareness for Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand (LBC).

With the help of our community, the team raised just over $3000 for this important cause.

🔥25kgs of firefighting gear

A big thankyou to everyone who came out to our quiz night on Friday evening! Our team put alot of time into planning this and we personally feel it went great 🥰

Thankyou to the local businesses who donated prizes for the cause. Overall we fundraised over $1500 for Leukaemia and Blood Cancer NZ.

We need another couple of members - If you have ever thought about joining a like minded, inclusive and fun team, pop down to the station at 7.20pm this Thursday night to see what we do and ask any questions you may have! 👨‍🚒👩‍🚒

You have to be older than 16, pass a medical and a police clearance. Once that is sorted, we have a top notch training programme that we work alongside you with, to prepare you for a 7 day stay at our National Training Centre in Rotorua.
