Thames High Troupe

Thames High Troupe Live performance for events and festivals Troupe Waihi is a professional theatre troupe operating out of Waihi College Drama Department. Kia ora te whanau.

It boasts a floating membership of approximately 25 uber-talented young-stars variously skilled in: Stiltwalking, Mime, Fire Performance, Masks, Balloon Sculpting, Commedia, Clowning ... and a bunch of other weird and wonderful schtick! The troupe first performed in 2005 at the Auckland Town Hall, and since then has appeared at events and festivals throughout the North Island. Some of our valued

clients include: Creative Waikato, Creative Tauranga, Artbeat (Whangarei), Maketu's Kaimoana Festival, Creative Tauranga, The Real Theatre Company (Auckland), The Department of Conservation, Paeroa Jazz Festival, Just4Kids (Whangamata), The Morrinsville Art Festival, A Taste of Matarangi, Going West Storyfest (Waitakere City), Rotary, Go Waihi, the Thames-Coromandel District Council, Russel McVeagh, The Diddily-i-Day (Whangarei), and The Ministry of Education. The troupe is entirely funded by the generosity of these and other clients - and we love them for it!
