Built on strong genetics from Merchiston, Meadowslea & more recently Oregon Angus.

There have been a few changes made to the public animal enquiry page on Helical. We want to highlight that there is now a 'For Sale' option you can tick in your search, which will bring up all animals for sale that have been advertised in a published Helical Catalogue. The option to remove columns from the view of search results has also been implemented. You will find this drop-down box on the right of the screen above the search results. You will also notice in the Sale Catalogues area, at the bottom of the page, there is the option to view completed sales.

We were incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to purchase a group of mixed-age cows straight from the heart of the Oregon Angus & Romneys herd.

Over the past 11 years, we have come to know the herd well and hold it in extremely high regard. We have always admired the consistency, quality, and type of the Oregon cattle.

We are excited for the future, with the addition of these females providing a significant boost to the foundation of our stud.

Huge thanks for this opportunity, we look forward to catching up next week at the Oregon Bull Sale.

Albert Hill Angus was established four years ago in partnership with Tom Brown and Nicky Brown, Hamish Williams and Katie Williams. Tom and Nicky have run the stud’s day to day operations on their farm since the beginning. Over that time we have been incredibly grateful for their support, hard work, and shared commitment to building a quality Angus herd.

Hamish and Katie relocated to Sweetacres, Lumsden, Southland in July 2025. Following this move, the stud has been divided, with around half of the cows, heifers, and calves coming south to Sweetacres.

Tom, Nicky, Lockie and Pippa have called their stud, Pa Hill Angus & Romney. We really appreciate the role they have played in the Albert Hill Angus journey over the past four years.

While the studs will now operate separately, we look forward to continuing to work together where possible and maintaining the strong relationship that has developed.

Also thanks must go to those who have purchased bulls and supported our stud. Your continued support means a great deal to all of us.
