Today 2 of our Crew climbed to the 60th floor of the Sky Tower to remember the 343 Firefights who ran into the unknown to never return. As well as all the New Zealand firefighters that have lost thier lives on duty

🇺🇸 September 11, 2001 | We Remember

25 years on, the events of September 11, 2001 remain etched into the history of the firefighting community around the world.

On that day, firefighters ran towards danger while others were running away.

343 members of the Fire Department of the City of New York made the ultimate sacrifice. They entered the World Trade Center knowing the risks, driven by the same commitment shared by firefighters everywhere: to protect others, whatever the cost.

They were fathers, mothers, husbands, wives, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters and friends. They were firefighters, officers, paramedics and leaders. Above all, they were people who chose to serve.

Their sacrifice changed the fire service forever and continues to remind us of the courage, dedication and brotherhood that exists within our profession.

Today, we remember the 343.

We remember their families and the generations who continue to carry their names.

And we remember every responder who has since lost their life as a result of the lasting effects of that day.

We remember. We honour. We will never forget.
