🐴 A little springtime mishap for our best buddies!

Jock the Clydesdale and Ted the Welsh Cob were making the most of the spring sunshine with a few frolics when Ted managed to give himself a little injury. 😬

So, it was time to call in the cavalry! 🚑🐴

South Wairarapa Vets were here in a jiffy, with Vet Katie and her amazing assistants Tammy and Kylie bringing along their portable X-ray machine to give Ted a thorough check-up.

The good news? Nothing broken! 🙌 Just a little sore, so Ted has been prescribed some pain relief and plenty of R&R while he gets back on his hooves.

Thanks so much to the team at South Wairarapa Veterinary Services for helping us keep our four-legged friends in tip-top shape. ❤️

Now it’s time for Ted to put his hooves up and take it easy… while Jock tries not to get up to too much mischief without him! 😜🐴

New lambs are popping up all over the place 👀😂💕

These little bundles of fluff are already finding their feet, following Mum around and mastering the art of being ridiculously cute! 🥰

Well, that’s a pretty big compliment from a self-confessed coffee lover! 😍

According to one very happy visitor, our barista from Palmy has “magic in his hands” and makes the perfect coffee. 🙌☕️

Add in those amazing views and delicious selection of homemade treats in our gorgeous café… and we reckon you’ve got a pretty good reason to make your next Staglands visit a little longer. 🌿☕️

Did you know our white peacock family has grown at Staglands? 🤍🦚

We now have a muster of seven, including two seriously handsome boys who are very keen to show everyone exactly what they’re made of! 😍

These pics were snapped from the office window when one of our resident show-offs decided it was the perfect time to put on a performance.

And WOW... when you’ve got feathers like that, why wouldn’t you strut your stuff?! 😂✨

Tail feathers out, fancy crest on point and not a care in the world… this boy definitely knows he’s fabulous! 🤍🦚

✨ The Quad Squad Have Names! ✨

Following their star appearance on Seven Sharp and our call for help naming our two unnamed quadruplet kids, we were absolutely inundated with suggestions from our wonderful community. Thank you to everyone who took the time to send through ideas.

We're delighted to share that all four of our famous little goats now have names! ❤️

🚀 Rocket
First up is little Rocket, easily identified by her dark colouring. Currently being hand-reared by Ranger Rocci, she's the smallest of the four. What Rocket lacks in size, she more than makes up for in personality!

💥 SP
Another dainty little lady, but don't let her size fool you. SP is an absolute firecracker! The weakest of the four at birth, she's now literally bouncing off the walls and is endlessly curious. SP is also being hand-reared by Ranger Rocci.

🌟 Jools
Meet lovely Jools, named in honour of the late Dame Jools Topp, a true New Zealand treasure. Jools is almost identical to her sister SP, but when you see them together, she's likely to be the bigger of the two, thanks to being raised by mum. She's also just a little less bouncy!

🖤 Sam
Last but certainly not least is our little billy, Sam, named after another recently farewelled Kiwi legend, Sam Neill. Sam is easy to spot thanks to his slightly wonky ear and the distinctive black stripe running along his back.

You can meet Sam, Jools and Mum in the Settlement Stables, and if you're lucky, you might also catch SP and Rocket during their daily family catch-ups. 🐐💕

A huge thank you to this lovely family for sharing their experience with us and a special shoutout to our wonderful Ranger Sarah! 💚

“Sarah… kept the girls engaged and excited for what was to come next. The behind-the-scenes tour enabled the girls to hand feed animals that were not on the usual self-guided tour option and help out with the end-of-day tasks.”

From getting up close with some of our animals 🐐🦌, to learning fascinating conservation and ecology facts, helping with ranger tasks, and finishing with a special surprise treat, our **Junior Ranger Experience** is packed with memorable moments.

And the adventure doesn’t end there! Junior Rangers also receive a **completion certificate and a voucher for entry on their next visit**. 🌿✨
