Hi, this is Mike Bird Pete's son. Unfortunately I have very sad news - my dad Pete passed away on the 17th of July after being diagnosed with cancer. He fought hard as dad always did and we are struggling to face the reality that he is no longer with us. We will miss his kind, loving nature and trust that he is now in a peaceful place.

This note is to inform all his Facebook friends that if you are in NZ, dad's funeral will be held on Friday the 24th of July at 2pm, at Kingswood in Upper Hutt (corner of King and Cairo streets).
