This photograph is part of an album compiled by Sydney Josland.

It shows staff members standing in the entrance to the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Animal Nutrition Laboratory building on the Adelaide University campus in Australia. Josland undertook his post-graduate training at the Animal Nutrition Laboratory.

There is a bit of uncertainty concerning the name of the groom in our records. He has been noted as either Harry van de Riet, or Harry Vandereek. Is anyone familiar with this family, and can confirm?

This photograph is part of a collection compiled by Peter's father, Sydney Josland.

It shows Peter Josland in his Upper Hutt Pipe Band uniform.

Peter was one of the founding pipers of the Upper Hutt Pipe Band, joining the band in 1945 as a 16 year old learner, not long after it was established at a meeting on 15 August 1944.
