Wow today Mimi School has been blown away by the amazing generosity of our local organisations.
Not only did we have a visit from Central Football but Rebel Sport Taranaki staff paid us a visit to donate 30 balls to our kura through their Pass it Forward "Buy a ball, give a ball" programme.
We were gifted Netballs, Rugby Balls and Footballs of all sizes.
We held a special assembly where the amazing staff from Rebel sport Taranaki presented the students with these balls.
Two of the students then won a ball each to take home through our Ka Mau te Wehi awards. Well done Jasper and Sammy.

Thank you so much for this amazing initiative you run Rebel Sport NZ it was so amazing to have your staff in today.

Last term our tamariki went to Manukorihi Park in Waitara for a "Football for all" day hosted by Central Football Taranaki. Today Michael from Central Football - Taranaki presented our school with a box of footballs, some pop up nets and some awesome football shirts.
We cannot thank these initiatives enough for supporting our tamariki with getting out there and being involved with sports.

What and incredible experience for all our Year 6 ākonga at the National Young Leaders Days New Zealand! Hamilton put on a beautiful day for us and the speakers blew us away. Hard to tell whether the conference or the McDonald’s on the way home was a bigger highlight but either way they had a blast.

Thanks to the Mimi Home and School Committee for helping to make it happen!

What a day for Matai class to have their first golf coaching session at the Urenui Golf Club. Thank you to Chris from Taranaki Golf for volunteering you time and expertise, the kids had a blast and can’t wait for their next session!

Our Matai class spend the day at Paranīnihi (White Cliffs), making our way along the walkway. It was a beautiful day and our ākonga made the most of exploring our rohe. Thanks to all those who volunteered their time to make it happen!
