We’re looking for a few extra hands to help with Club communications — with social media content creation, Canva/design; photographers/videographers; drone enthusiasts; photo and video editors; and people who can drop off promotional posters to local businesses.

Whether you can spare a few hours each month or can help out on the odd event day, every contribution would make a real difference.

A huge mahi to the team at Beach Contractors; you are truly our lifesavers! The Bowentown Hub is an important project to support lifeguarding and search and rescue. As a charity, sometimes we need to raise our hand for help and Beach Contractors responded to our call. Thank you for supporting us and this amazing community.

A huge thank you to Waihi Beach Community Shop for its recent donation to Waihī Beach Lifeguard Services. Their ongoing support helps immensley with the provision of patrol and search & rescue services to the community.
It is amazing that three Waihī Beach emergency services are supported annually by the Community Shop. What a great initiative, community helping community!
The shop is currently looking for more Saturday volunteers. Whether you can help regularly or occasionally, they would love you to get involved. You can also support the shop by dropping off clean, resalable unwanted items.

Eastern Region Pool Rescue Champs Wrap - our team smashed Day 2, continuing to deliver PB after PB, haul in the medals, and keep smiling through some gruelling racing, finishing fifth club overall (out of 14).

A HUGE thank you to the dream team Coach Dan and Manager Mari, to Doug for officiating, to Emma and Kris for time keeping, to Nick and Steve for photography, to all the parents for the support, and to our junior, senior and masters athletes for your commitment to surf lifesaving 👊 A special shout out to all our first timers - you rocked.

Thanks also to SLSNZ | Eastern Region for a wonderful event. Watch this space for updates on our team heading to Northerns in September and Nationals in October. The mahi continues...

Eastern Region Pool Rescue Championships Day 1 recap: there's been heaps of outstanding performances, team and individual medals, and lots of fun. Our juniors, seniors and masters have delivered across the obstacle events, brick and mannequin carries, swims with fins and rope throw. All evidence of the hard mahi that's been going on every weekend - practising and sharpening their rescue skills ready for summer.

And very exciting - our very own Andrew Cochrane has also been nominated for the Local Hero Award​!
