Huge thanks to Bird Rescue, Rehoming and Adoption, Taranaki, NZ who after hearing I had 'killed' yet another wheatbag through over-use, very kindly sent me 2 new ones! These wheatbags are beautifully made, are double-lined and double-stitched. If you know someone who loves warm and toasty wheatbags in colder weather, or chilled in the fridge in hot weather, then contact Bird Rescue, Rehoming and Adoption, Taranaki, to get 1 or 2 of these beauties (lots of colours and designs to choose from, and money helps their rescue birds) 💙

When was the last time you picked fresh seedy grass or flowering puha for your caged or aviary birds? Note: make sure no chemicals or fertilizer have been near it, and wash under cold water to get rid of dust and dirt etc

We love this idea... free access to a small tray of seeds on a table or play area, complete with a small cup of fresh water! Millet spray, a budgie seed bell, a few pellets or other treats can also be added. Hint: put a serviette or folded paper towel under the water to soak up splashes or dribbles. Throw seed out to wild birds after 3 days. 💙

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION: two COCKATIELS. ☆ Peter is the grey and white, approximately 4.
Microwave is 2 years old. He is a 'special needs' boy... he cannot fly, can flutter but ends up going backwards, walks with a straight back and holds his head upside down. Can climb very well.
☆ These beautiful boys must stay together, require a comfortable aviary, and need to be COLLECTED from WAIHI.
☆ We are rehoming these birds on behalf of owner, due to a change in their living situation.
